It was a gorgeous late October day at the Spencer Pierce Little Farm. I was attracted to the angles of its huge barn and the light playing on the yellow paint. It sits on the homeland of the Pawtucket and Penacook, dating back thousands of years. An archeological dig identified an indigenous site at the farm, which is evidence to the presence of these groups, centuries prior to the arrival of the English.
